On April 16, we announce our programme!

Every year, the publication of the Young Euro Classic festival programme is an exciting moment and a reason for joy. Starting on April 16, 2026, all events will be published in detail, so you can buy tickets and be among those who experience the world’s best youth orchestras from July 31 to August 16 at the Konzerthaus Berlin. 

A Choral Debut and a Finnish Electric Bass

The Estonian National Opera Boys' Choir, which looks back on 50 years of tradition, and the Slovenian Youth Orchestra, founded in 2019: today, we present these two intriguing concert evenings at Young Euro Classic – just a taste of the full programme.
One of the events is a special premiere, as it is the first time in the festival’s history that a concert is dedicated exclusively to a chorus – an extraordinary highlight at Young Euro Classic!

In its homeland, the Estonian National Opera Boys' Choir has already been named Chorus of the Year twice. For their Young Euro Classic debut, the young singers aged 10 to 20 will perform an intriguing mix of folk music, sacred works and modern choral literature. Come hear works by composers such as Eduard Tubin, Veljo Tormis, Cyrillus Kreek, Mart Saar and two German premieres by Andres Lemba.

The second programme insight highlights the festival’s broad outlook: in addition to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, the Slovenian Youth Orchestra presents two German premieres by Matija Krečič and Lauri Porra. The latter is not only a renowned Finnish composer and a long-term member of the power metal band Stratovarius, but also the great-grandson of Jean Sibelius! He will play the electric bass solo in his own concerto.

Guest Performance in May: An Exquisite Quintet 

The worldwide touring initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music brings the violinist Liza Ferschtman and the pianist Benjamin Hochman to the Konzerthaus Berlin on May 19. Together with Leah Amory, Davin Mar and Carson Ling-Efird, they form a virtuosic, energetic piano quintet.

The three young artists are part of the great tradition of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, which has trained such outstanding personalities as Leonard Bernstein, Yuja Wang and Lang Lang over the course of its 100-year history.

On Gendarmenmarkt, the ensemble will unfold a musical kaleidoscope – from Bohuslav Martinů’s “Three Madrigals” to Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Ghost Trio” and Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F minor.

Enjoy artful playing and elegant, expressive interpretations. The codeword “Geistertrio” will earn all friends of Young Euro Classic the special rate of 15 Euros plus ticketing fees. 

The concert is presented by the Curtis Institute of Music in cooperation with Bard College Berlin and Young Euro Classic.
