At Young Euro Classic 2024, the work the image of that which is invisible by Turkish composer Ege Gür was awarded the European Composition Prize.

One of the special highlights of Young Euro Classic is the awarding of the European Composition Prize. Awarded by the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, this is the 25th time that the best premiere or German premiere presented at the festival has been honoured. The decision to award the prize, which is endowed with 5,000 euros, is made by an honorary jury.
An elementary component of the festival since its beginnings has been the promotion of contemporary and, above all, young composers, who repeatedly bring current themes and musical influences from their home countries to Young Euro Classic with their works.
