At home in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy looks back on more than 90 years of history. Its continuous and professional training reflects the structures of Russian music education, which earned the Kiev Conservatory, founded in 1913, a prominent rank, comparable to similar institutions in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Today the Academy provides all conditions for students to obtain the complete higher education in the field of musical arts. The best musical compositions, practice and listening rooms, a spacious library with study materials, concerts halls, classroom equipment and musical instruments are available. Students are actively involved in concert and creative activities as well as in international projects. There are 4 Departments and 27 Chairs at the Academy. The Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music trains specialists in the following departments: music, the theory and history of culture, and theatre arts.
