The composer Marta Domingues, aged 22, is currently completing a Master’s degree in composition at the Lisbon Music Academy, where Jaime Reis and Annette Vande Gome are her teachers. At the early age of 17, she won the Prize for Young Creators in Lisbon in the music category. Marta Domingues is a member of the production team of the Festival DME (Dias de Música Electroacustica) and the artistic director of SYN-ARS, a multi-discipline Portuguese project. In 2019 she wrote her composition Yliatim for saxophone and electronics, which plays with the invisibility of sound production (acousmatic music); it was premiered at the Festival Sonorities in Belfast. In 2020 Marta Domingues wrote Aspen Tree for accordion and electronics.
