Suli Puschban is one of the most original and active songwriters in the German-language region. Her powerful voice, charismatic stage presence and courageous texts have revolutionized children’s song – in an irreverent, political, poetic voice that is always engaging. Whether it’s about a superhero saving everyone, a sloth promoting deceleration or a parent who is crazy about selfies – Suli Puschban’s music is close to children’s lived experience. She takes young people seriously, expecting them to have their own thoughts, attitude and humour, and creating songs that empower, move and are simply fun. In 2019, she won the GEMA’s Music Authors’ Prize in the category “Children’s Song, Text”. Together with her band, the Kapelle der guten Hoffnung, for many years she has been bringing music to the stage that is beloved by children and adults. The classic combination of electric guitar, bass and drums stands for handmade sound, straddling rock, folk and pop, and leaving no foot in the house that isn’t tapping!
