Elevators

For concertgoers in need of an elevator, we recommend purchasing tickets on the right side of the concert hall. The Konzerthaus elevator located near the stage door is under repair. For the duration of the festival, the elevator on the north side (towards Jägerstraße) is in operation, and thus the right side of the ‘Großer Saal’ is accessible without barriers. Please note: the left side of the parquet is also handicap accessible via the pillar foyer.

Wheelchair and handicapped accessible seats within the ‘Großer Saal’

We have expanded the number of wheelchair and handicapped accessible seats within the ‘Großer Saal’. Located in both ‘Parkett Links’ and ‘Parkett Rechts’ there are handicapped accessible seats (and an accompanying seat) available in Row 7, Seats 2 & 3 (price category 1) and Row 13, Seats 2 & 3 (price category 2). Additional handicapped seating is available in at the back of the parquet in price category 3. Accessible toilets are located near the stage entrance and at the Café Konzerthaus.

Accessible route

Since the refurbishment of the Gendarmenmarkt has been completed in March 2025, the square is completely barrier-free.

The nearest underground stations U Stadtmitte (lines U2, U6) and Unter den Linden (lines U5 and U6) have lifts.

Designated disabled parking spaces can be found in Charlottenstraße (near the stage entrance).

Ticket information for visitors with disabilities

Wheelchair users and severely disabled persons with ID B pay the normal price and receive a companion ticket free of charge. These tickets are only available via the ticket hotline and at the Interklassik box office at Hotel Meliá.
