Curtis in Berlin: Rachmaninoff’s „Trio élégiaque" and Brahms' Piano Quartet
Curtis on Tour returns to Berlin with an evening of chamber music featuring violinist Audrey Goodner, cellist Elliot Sloss, violist Ed Gazouleas, faculty member at the Curtis Institute of Music, and pianist Jessie Gong at the Französische Friedrichstadtkirche.
The program brings together three works spanning contrasting musical worlds: Maurice Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s passionate Trio élégiaque, and Johannes Brahms’ powerful Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor. Rich in virtuosity, tonal color, and emotional intensity, the program offers a vivid portrait of chamber music across generations.
Together, these four musicians bring their individual artistry and shared musicality to a program that celebrates the enduring richness and expressive power of chamber music.

Give the Gift of Future!
Giving Opportunities – Enabling the Future
It’s hard to quantify what a performance at Young Euro Classic means for young talents. Christoph Eß, principal horn of the Bamberger Symphoniker and a former member of the German National Youth Orchestra, offers a very personal description:
“I remember my performance at Young Euro Classic with the Bundesjugendorchester very distinctly – it was my first time playing at the Konzerthaus Berlin. Just being on stage at this very special venue gave me a feeling I associate with great concert halls to this day: a little bit of extra tension, a little bit more magic. At such moments, you sit even further toward the edge of your chair – full of expectation, full of concentration. This feeling burned itself deep into my soul, to this day.”
