Tomorrow night’s the night! Young Euro Classic opens its 27th season with the Bundesjugendorchester on July 31. The festive opening with outstanding young musicians, the Festival hymn, the symbolic European carpet and an audience party under the stars will be an unforgettable evening. A glorious beginning for a Festival summer full of musical discoveries!

Opening night is already sold out – a wonderful demonstration of the eager anticipation which has greeted the Festival. Audible Diversity

Young Euro Classic hosts young musicians from many very different countries in 2026, bringing their special sounds, stories and overwhelming curiosity. This engenders a special energy, creating encounters with a clear perspective on the future, without smoothing over existing differences. On 17 concert evenings, in 5 ensemble concerts of the series FUTURE NOW Musical Diaries as well as a day for young listeners, all this becomes audible.

Apart from familiar guests such as the EUYO and the Bundesjugendorchester, there are new voices: youth orchestras from Luxembourg, Slovenia, Italy, China and Turkmenistan bring their musical perspectives to Young Euro Classic for the first time. Another novelty in the programme is an evening featuring a young chorus – the renowned Boys’ Choir of the Estonian National Opera.

At the same time, the Festival thrives on the encounters that go beyond “classical” concerts in the European musical tradition. When the Orchestra of the Americas meets the Penderecki Youth Orchestra, when the Ulster Youth Orchestra unites young musicians from different communities in Northern Ireland, or a German-Indian jazz project combines music from Southern India with contemporary jazz, these are encounters that shape the future.

The concerts of the festival within the festival FUTURE NOW Musical Diaries on the weekends begin at 4:30 pm.
